Homemade burgers with guacamole

homemade burger

Today was a culinary trip around the world. A typical german breakfast: bread rolls with liver sausage (yes, it’s nice for breakfast), the French festival in the city in the afternoon and some homemade “American burgers” on time for the women’s football worldcup finale tonight. It looks like we have been hungry today..

The French festival was nice here in Düsseldorf today. A lot of market stalls presenting food and crafts from different French regions, music and the possibility to sit in the sun, have some wine and good food – great! It seems like Düsseldorf is offering a lot of these festivities, which is nice.

guacamole

I bought things to make burgers yesterday and it was a good idea. I like a good burger every now and then. Especially with homemade guacamole and some colourful veggies. We couldn’t take some of our own homegrown tomatoes YET. They are quite big already but still green because of the lack of sun recently. So I bought some red and yellow tomatoes at the market.

USA is taking the lead now in the football finale. I am quite disappointed that Germany is out. Well, go USA and Nippon!
